“Darjeeling is a Land Rover lovers’ dream.” – Les Roberts, a Land Rover expert said. Yes, nowhere in the world are these Series I and Series II Land Rovers fully operational till now. According to experts they were all exported to Darjeeling throughout the late 1950s. They were brought to India by the British tea planters who continued to stay in different tea gardens of Darjeeling and Dooars decades after India’s independence.
